Teaching Online, a book by The Consultants-E team members Nicky Hockly and Lindsay Clandfield, and published by Delta Publishing, is nominated for the 2011 British Council Innovation Awards (ELTons).
The works of several Consultants-E colleagues were shortlisted for the British Council Innovations Awards 2009 (ELTONs). Our work in Second Life (EduCation @ EduNation) in the UK category, and Lindsay Clandfield (with Duncan Foord) for his book 'The Language Teacher's Survival Handbook' and Steve Neufeld (and team) for the Lexitronics project in the International category.
Our 40-hour Teaching Business English online course was one of the finalists for the 2008 David Riley Award for Innovation in Business English and ESP. More details on the award can be found on the IATEFL BESIG site.
How To Teach English With Technology, by Gavin Dudeney and Nicky Hockly of The Consultants-E won the 2008 Ben Warren International House Trust Prize for the most outstanding work in the field of language teacher education. The ICT in the Classroom course won a British Council ELTON in 2007. Judges comment: "The internet delivery is well thought out and I thought teachers taking the course would be equipped with a good set of techniques for using ICT in innovative and lively ways"
