THE COURSE & AUDIENCE
The Consultants-E offer a tailor-made online course in E-moderation skills for Trinity Certificate and Diploma in TESOL trainers, course providers and moderators. From 2005, Trinity College London is making it a requirement for their distance course providers to have at least one tutor trained in E-moderation skills working on each distance course. This course is specifically aimed at Trinity ESOL trainers, course providers and moderators, who are interested in developing the skills necessary to become an effective e-moderator in their own online/distance courses.
TIMETABLE
Our next Trinity course will cover four weeks from 15 November 2006. Participants
are expected to spend
approx. 6-8 hours per week on online individual and collaborative group work,
including offline reading and reflection. Deadlines for task completion are
weekly, and participants can log on at any point during the week to work on
the course. There are no 'fixed' times to be online - apart from regular
timetabled online chats - these are negotiated to suit everyone. You will receive
a detailed study timetable to help you organise your workload effectively once
you have enrolled on the course.
SKILLS
You won’t need any prior experience or knowledge of
online tutoring, although very basic experience of email
and Internet use would be helpful.
