FEEDBACK

Karen Waterston, British Council, London, UK
This is one of the best online courses I have done and … I feel I have learnt a lot about me as a learner, how I learn as well as using ICT in the classroom.  Discussions with friends and colleagues was stimulated by what I was learning which is a wider benefit of the course.

Graeme Nelson, British Council, Bahrain
The course overall helped me re evaluate how I could use web based technologies in the classroom and helped me in particular to marshal my thoughts on WebQuests … Your summaries on the discussion boards were excellent, encapsulating the various ideas and thoughts flying around. Your quick responses to postings were always encouraging and supportive of the participants.

Jean Ashbury, Kingston College, UK.
Well organized, content – just enough to launch you into a topic without swamping you – that opened up new avenues for exploring the use of ICT tools.  Well selected information input and external links.  Aims clearly stated… Hats off to you for being supportive and always being there with encouragement and technical and pedagogical advice.  I have thoroughly enjoyed the course and that’s down to you.

Carl Dowse, Germany
I feel I have learnt a great deal and ceratinly feel more confident and excited about implement ICT in the langauge classroom and beyond ... I feel I have greatly benefitted from this online experience and I am looking forward to my next!

Valentina Dodge, Italy
Both structure and content extremely well-thought out and designed. The unfolding scaffolded approach to introducing key notions and helping participants to implement ICT is supreme and the topics covered in the timescale available allow any (mixed) ability group to pursue areas of more interest in more depth. Completely structured but entirely flexible offering an optimal balance that is delivered in a safe and smooth educational Virtual Learning Environment! Brilliant : -)

Fiona McGarry, UK
I found that the course gave me a lot more confidence to try out web quests, blogging etc. It really brought me up to date with what is ‘out there’ on the internet […] I enjoyed the course and have recommended it to several other trainers who are thinking of doing the next one

Jacky Lipp, Russia
[The course] made me realise that online learning can be very high quality and focused on individual needs. Very well structured - I was afraid that I wouldn't cope with the technical side of things at first, but we were very cleverly led along in small steps.  I now feel much more confident and empowered.  I never thought I would end up creating websites and online lessons using all kinds of tools: blogs, chat, interactive whiteboards, podcasts and wikis […] It was a very practical course – just what I needed!

Katherine Martinez, Spain
I have learned a great deal about using a VLE, searching for and evaluating sites on the web, webquests, chat and blogs, and the transformation from technophobe to technogeek is at least underway! […] All in all, I am very happy with all I have learned on this course, and would like to give you a big thank you.

Lisa Haugh, Switzerland
I have definitely learnt a lot (wikis, blogs and chat) and am very grateful for the well structured guidance! [Interaction with course colleagues was] wonderful and enlightening! It’s really amazing what some people can produce […]  I would definitely recommend this course to others and may possibly do a Moodle course in the near future!

Lucy Treagus. Scotland
I’ve learnt loads on this course – more than I thought I would. My students are really pleased I have done it. I can see clear progress throughout the course and would like to continue to develop my ICT skills. I would definitely consider doing another course if there was a follow on course.

Raluca Paunescu, Romania
What I found great about this course is the fact that we had to solve certain tasks and groups or in pairs. Everything works better if it is interactive […] [The tutor] was ready to answer any question, provided feedback (and in fact she encouraged us a lot), was extremely supportive and I felt I could rely on her to help me.

Sheila Vine, Germany
Excellent the week-by-week revelations worked well for me especially with being able to hide all but the things you were working on. Interesting and useful materials too,  I especially liked using the wiki as I have been trying to come to terms with them for some time and now I am happy that I feel I can use them.
