Andrei Tarassov

Andrei started his career in ELT in 1998 in Egypt, where he worked for British Council and the American University in Cairo. Since then he has taught EFL in Turkey, Russia, Finland, the UK and Colombia.

He has used ICT in the classroom for over five years and is currently working at British Council Colombia as an ICT coordinator and trainer, EFLteacher and IELTS examiner. He is actively involved in designing and training on a British Council on-line teacher training course. The course is aimed at helping ELT teachers prepare for Cambridge ESOL Teacher Knowledge Test.

Andrei has designed and is supporting an on-line self-access portal for IELTS candidates run by British Council Colombia. His ICT interests lie in promoting learner autonomy using the Web and instructional design using Moodle.

Andrei has a DELTA and is currently doing an MA in Digital Technologies, Communication and Education with the University of Manchester.
