Energize our planet! - Tasks

Planet

In teams, you will collect information about the different types of energy sources used to produce electricity.

Then, you will use this information to prepare your Earth Day presentation. This will include:

  • how different energy sources are used to supply electricity to the home.
  • the advantages and disadvantages of each energy source.
  • some useful tips about saving energy in the home.
TASK 1 Research two sources of energy: one non-renewable and one renewable.
Research different ways of saving energy.
TASK 2

Produce a PowerPoint presentation to include:

  1. the two forms of energy you researched
  2. five top tips for saving energy in the home
TASK 3

Give your PowerPoint presentation to the class.

Then, as a class, take a vote on

  1. the most suitable non-renewable and renewable energy sources for your area
  2. the five best tips about saving energy

With your teacher, put together all the PowerPoint presentations to make one Energize your Planet! slideshow for the Earth Day celebrations.
