Activity 1
Begin by checking some general concepts. Look at these links on Systems and Cell Processes. Work in pairs to answer the questions below. Answer the questions on a sheet of paper.
- What is a system?
- Name at least three different systems found in the ‘Systems’ link
- Why can’t systems work alone?
- What is excretion?
- What are the two types of respiration?
- How do plants make their own food?
- Can animals make their own food?
Check your answers with your teacher.
Activity 2
Now you are ready to work in teams. Form groups of three and choose your topic. There will be more than one team researching each topic.
- Team 1 will research animal digestive systems
- Team 2 will research respiratory systems
- Team 3 will research plants
Read the instructions for the website for your topic. Then click on the link under the image to visit the website and take notes.
